Al-Markaz Mosque, Makassar
The biggest and grandiose mosque in Southeast Asia, Al Markaz Al Islami Mosque is the pride of Makassar resident. Its beautiful architecture is influenced by Masjidil Haram in Mecca as well as Masjid Nabawi in Medina. Ir. Achmad Nurman, the designer, also adds architecture elements of Katangka Mosque in Gowa as well as Bugis-Makassar traditional house. Initiated by General M. Jusuf, the building started on 8 May 1994 and finished on 12 January 1996. Located at Mesjid Raya Street Makassar City, this three floors building looks lovely with a green color nuance. Beside its main functions as praying place, this mosque serves as an education center of Islam. Al Markaz Mosque is dedicated to become one of centers of Islam study and development in eastern part of Indonesia.

Soltanieh Dome, which was the world's tallest building of its time, currently ranks third after Italy's Saint Mary church in Florence and Turkeys Aya Sofia Mosque in Istanbul Located near Iran's western Zanjan province, this 54 meter tall octagonal base building comprises three parts : mausoleum, dome chamber and vault. The dome chamber is decorated with Islamic inscriptions and beautiful muqarnas ( a traditional Persian art ). The king's body was laid to rest in the vault and two guards protected the gilded royal tombstone at all times. This historical building designed by Mason Ali Shah Tabrizi was registered in UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2006.

President and Vice President of The Republic of Indonesia

DR.H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was re-elected as President of The Republic of Indonesia during the period 2009-2014 with his partner, Boediono. The Determination of Boediono and Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono as President and Vice President for the next five year was decided at The Open Plenary Meeting of the Commission of General Election ( KPU ) About The Determination of The Counting of Votes Election Results Recapitulation 2009.
The results of the vote counting recapitulation of Commission of General Election ( KPU ) showed that SBY-Boediono won the highest vote with 73,874,562 votes or 60.80 percent, followed by Megawati Soekarnoputri, Prabowo Subianto with 32,548,105 votes or 26.79 percent and the couple Jusuf Kalla ( JK-Wiranto) with 15,081,814 votes or 12.41 percent. The votes came from 121,504,481 valid votes from 176,637,056 voters who registered. While voters who did not use theirs rights to vote reached 49,212,158 people or 27,77 percent.

200th Anniversary of Bandung City
Bandung does not stand together with the formation of Bandung regency / district. The city was built with very long grace period after the Bandung regency standing . Bandung regency was formed in middle of 17th century AD, with the first regent was Tumenggung Wiraangunangun. He ruled until 1681.

Sultan Hasanudin
Charisma and courageous of Sultan Hasanudin makes he called "Rooster from East Continent". This title given by his opponent, Dutch because they feel the war and opposition of Sultan Hasanudin more hair-raising than other war. He throne as 16th Gowa King replace Sultan Muhamad Said. Eventhough he is not prince, because of his experience and ability, he pointed by Sultan Muhamad Said to replace him after he died.
Hasanudin did not want to surrender from Dutch colonial which center in Batavia. He always gets attack from Dutch troops, the first attack held in 1660, the in 1666 ; in 1667 and in 1669. The war is to help the people outside the kingdom, which get violence by the Dutch. On March 1645 he send strong fleet consist of 100 boats to help Moluccas people to fight againts Dutch, known as "Hongi War". On his rule the war happen many times, but actually, he is not a leader who likes violence. His humanism as great king, shown up when he accepted Bungaraya Agreement in 18 November 1667. With this agreement, he can prevent many victims in both side, in other side his troops must face with his own nation like Tidore, Ternate, Buton, and Bone which help Dutch. It is his strategy to get well plan before next war.
He was die in 12 June 1670 in youngest age of 39 years. In his short age, many things has been done, his dedications awarded as National Hero by Indonesian government on 1973.

Sultan Agung

Sultan Agung Hanyakrakusuma is the 3rd Mataram King wich ruled in 1613-1645. His nickname is Mas Rangsang. He is grandson of Panembahan Senapati who built Mataram Kingdom and he is the oldest son of prabu hanyokrowati ( Mas Jolang ) 2nd mataram King.
On Sultan Agung rules, Mataram Kingdom gained top of glory era in every sector . His big aim to unite Java Island in Mataram regions almost accomplish, only sultanate of Banten and Batavia still rot in. Mataram is not only rules on military power, but he did smooth politic by married off his princess from the opponent Kingdom.
His famous history is sending Mataram expedition troops to Batavia for subjugate the VOC. In history record, two times he atttacks the VOC in Batavia in 1628 and 1629. Event the expedition was fail, but his attack make a positive effect for other kingdon such as Banten wich joinedto chase the VOC from Batavia. His troops attack laso made many financial losses and weaken of the VOC troops.
In religius sector, he was an obedient sultan in Islamic activity. Every Islamic day, he went to the mosque and sharing a food to his people. This event calls "gerebeg" and the tradition still done until now. he also mixed the culture of Islam with Javanese culture. He decided Java calendar ( Hijriyah ), which still follows by Java people.
In art sector, literature developed well. Gending and Wayang Krucil are a famous literature written by Sultan Agung. The Sultan passed away in 1645 in Imogiri.

Sultan Ma'moen Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah

Sultan Ma'moen Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah is the 9th Sultan Deli that ruled from 1873 - 1924. At this era, sultanate of Deli gains a glory and property. Many concessions contract land open widely up to 250.000 Ha. This project make a lot of incomes for build a Maimoon palace in 1888 and Great Mosque of Al Mashun in 1907 and also Mahkamah Parapatan office.
Famous architect Kapten TH Van erp has chosen by Soeltan Ma'moen Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah to design both these buildings. The palace finished in 18 May 1891, at the same time the move center of government from downstream of Deli River to Medan. Sultan Ma'moen Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah was die ini 1924 and buried in yard of Great Mosque of Al Mashun Medan.

Merlion, Sentosa
Merlion is an imaginary creature with appearance head of lion and body of fish. Story behind this creature came up with the legend of Sang Nila Utama, , who saw a lion when hunting in an island initially known as Temasek. As an icon of Singapore, the original Merlion statue was located at the tip of the current The Fullerton Waterboat House Garden with Anderson Bridge as its background before moved to the current Merlion Park in front of The Fullerton Hotel. As a replica made of glass reinforced cement over a steel armature attached to the central lift core, Merlion at Sentosa was built by James Martin, an Australian artists. Opened in 1996, this 37 m high statue is the tallest Merlion in Singapore.
Sentosa
Sentosa literally means peace and tranquillity in Malay languages is a very popular island resort in Singapore. Occupies an area of about 5 square km, it lies just half a km away from the southern coast of the main island of Singapore. Among the series of attractions offered here for visitors are fort Siloso, Surrender Chamber wax museum, Musical Fountain, and the Underwater World. The causeway bridge was opened in 1992 connecting Sentosa to the main island. the Sentosa Monorail System was opened in 1982 to transport visitors to various stations located around the island. this monorail service was discontinued to make way for the new Sentosa Express, which commenced operations on 15 January 2007.

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah or "Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park" is a recreational spot with splendid curtural highlights of the grandeur of Indonesia. Officially opened on 20 April 1975, it covers about 120 hectare of area at the eastern side of Jakarta city. The park is summary of Indonesia culture, with virtually all aspects of daily life of each provinces of Indonesia encapsulated in separate pavilions with collections of architectures, clothings, dances and traditions are all depicted impecabbly. At the center, there is a panoramic lake with miniature of the archipelago of Indonesia in the middle that can be viewed from cable cars over it. There are about 10 gardens spread out at TMII, but most are located primarily on the north and northeast side of the main lake. Visitors can also visit 14 interesting museums of various themes.

Adapted form Buleleng regency symbol, this statue uniquely depicts a winged lion holding a big corn in one of its front legs. The wings consist of 17 long feathers, while the corn contains 45 seeds and 8 leafs, which represents the date of Indonesia's independence day 17 August 1945. the statue stands on a lotus shaped base with 9 sepals. The number of the sepal denotes 9 districts of Buleleng regency. The lion has 30 small feathers on its wings coming from 3 bones as well as 1604 fur's covering all over the body. It symbolyzes the bird date of Singaraja city, 30 March 1604. the statue was officially opened on 30 March 1971 to commemorate the historical struggle of Singaraja people against the Dutch's occupation.
