President and Vice President of The Republic of Indonesia


DR.H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was re-elected as President of The Republic of Indonesia during the period 2009-2014 with his partner, Boediono. The Determination of Boediono and Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono as President and Vice President for the next five year was decided at The Open Plenary Meeting of the Commission of General Election ( KPU ) About The Determination of The Counting of Votes Election Results Recapitulation 2009.

The results of the vote counting recapitulation of Commission of General Election ( KPU ) showed that SBY-Boediono won the highest vote with 73,874,562 votes or 60.80 percent, followed by Megawati Soekarnoputri, Prabowo Subianto with 32,548,105 votes or 26.79 percent and the couple Jusuf Kalla ( JK-Wiranto) with 15,081,814 votes or 12.41 percent. The votes came from 121,504,481 valid votes from 176,637,056 voters who registered. While voters who did not use theirs rights to vote reached 49,212,158 people or 27,77 percent.

The inauguration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as a President of The Republic of Indonesia and Boediono as the Vice President for the next five years was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The inauguration of President and Vice President attended by several heads of state and envoys from friendly countries. In the MPR Plenary Session meeting led.

Trains Indonesian FDC

The train came to Indonesia in 1867, when the Dutch government brought in the vehicle to transport agricultural products such as woods,coffee,pepper,cloves,tobacco,tea,rubber and mineral such as coal. Later, trains played to prominent role in the history of the country, in the specially in the era of struggle for independence. This stamp series features in old trains used in Indonesia in the past and became the witness of the Indonesian history

Indonesian Cartoon Characters

Sometimes criticism is best delivered in a satirical, witty, or humorous, yet artistically way. Editorial cartoon, a type of cartoon that appear in periodical publications, play its role in entertaining people and criticizing at the same time. Five editorial cartoon characters from five Indonesian newspaper are chosen to be presented on the stamps. Panji Koming, created by Dwi Kundoro, has been appearing every Sunday on Jakarta's Kompas daily since his debut in 1979. Pak Tuntung was created by Basuki and first published in 1973. He visits his readers every day on Analisa in Medan. From Bandung, Pikiran Rakyat presents Mang Ohle every Saturday. This character was born in 1955 and its illustrators have changed several times. Since 1984, Didin D Basoeni became his master. Pak Bei was made in in 1986 by Masdi Soenardifor Suara Merdeka of Semarang and appear on Sunday edition. I Brewok, as his name suggests, comes from Bali and Bali Post has become his home since Gun Gun created him in 1981.
